Tony Felix - Something
another saturday night and i aint got nobody, so i thought i’d take the opportunity to find a song and blog about it. i went to bandcamp and searched hi and lo (LOL) through the tags until somewhere in the depths of lo-fi newness, i stumbled across exactly what i was looking for. it was that one-song-on-a-default-bandcamp-page moment that i needed to push me back into listening and sharing new music.
Tony Felix offers nothing online to stalk about. his bandcamp has only this one song and no possible links to any other material. There Must Be Something begins appropriately with the hiss of a laptop computer fan, quickly replaced with a beautiful atmosphere of acoustic guitars, cave-choir vox, and a type of noodling electric guitar that i hold dearly to me heart. if bon iver gazed at his shoes a bit more and hailed from san diego, his music might’ve sounded like tony’s.
i’m going to try to pin up something new every couple of days so if anybody has any new tunez or suggestions send them to jeremyleegiven at gmail dot com.
